Head of Growth
Job Description Overview
Hilltop Wealth Advisors is growing, and we’re seeking a senior leader to serve as our Head of Growth. This role is designed to own Hilltop’s growth engine end-to-end—both organic growth through advisor sales enablement and inorganic growth through merger and acquisition relationship development—as we scale toward a $1B+ multi-office RIA.
This position is ideal for a high-EQ, enterprise-minded leader who thrives in building systems, developing people, and stewarding long-term relationships. The role institutionalizes growth, so it is repeatable, teachable, and scalable, rather than founder- or advisor-dependent.
This role does not carry a permanent book of business. Success is measured by advisor growth capability, consistent organic results, disciplined M&A cultivation, execution, and cultural alignment.
At Hilltop, we lead with our three core values:
Humble Steward – We honor the responsibility entrusted to us, acting with integrity and humility.
Hungry Learner – We pursue mastery through curiosity and continuous growth.
Better Together – We succeed through collaboration, shared goals, and unified effort.
Responsibilities Include
Organic Growth & Advisor Enablement
• Own and continuously refine Hilltop’s discovery, value articulation, referral, and closing framework
• Train and coach advisors on best practices for organic growth and confident closing
• Establish and track organic growth metrics including close rates, referrals, and net-new organic revenue
• Partner with leadership to reinforce growth expectations and accountability
Inorganic Growth & M&A Business Development
• Build and steward long-term relationships with prospective acquisition partners
• Develop and manage a 12–36 month M&A pipeline aligned with Hilltop’s ideal firm profile
• Assess cultural alignment, founder mindset, and succession readiness
• Coordinate early-stage diligence and deal advancement in partnership with leadership
• Support clean handoffs from sourcing to diligence and post-close integration
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
• Strong executive presence and emotional intelligence
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and influence senior advisors
• Deep understanding of advisory sales conversations, referrals, and growth systems
• Working knowledge of RIA business models, succession planning, and M&A concepts
• Ability to manage long-cycle relationships with patience and discipline
• Strong organizational skills and comfort operating with ambiguity
• Demonstrated integrity and cultural leadership
Experience and Education Requirements
• 10–20+ years of experience in wealth management, RIA leadership, advisor growth, or business development roles
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience working with or alongside advisory firms preferred
• Prior exposure to M&A, succession planning, or integration processes strongly preferred
• Strong self-leadership, judgment, and professionalism
Compensation and Benefits
• Competitive senior-level base salary $(180,000 - $250,000)
• Participation in Hilltop’s firm-wide revenue incentive pool
• Growth bonuses tied to organic and inorganic outcomes
• Long-term career path with increasing leadership responsibility and equity potential
Hilltop offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off, volunteer time off, flexible work-from-home policy (up to five days per month, with Monday and Thursday designated for in-office collaboration), and ongoing educational reimbursement opportunities.
